Tastings at The Shack on Mission Pond
Experience the wines of Dovecote in their birthplace, immersing yourself in their origins and history. Visit our historic redwood “Shack” at Dovecote’s Mission Pond for a full flight of estate wines. Pause, swirl, breathe deeply, and enjoy the gentle coastal air as you try various wines that all share a common soul. We offer two tasting flights for $45 and $75 per adult, waived with a purchase of at least 3 bottles.
PLEASE BOOK RESERVATION FOR ALL GUESTS WHO WILL BE JOINING EVEN IF THEY’RE NOT DRINKING. Well-behaved children are welcome. Pets are not permitted unless they’re a licensed service animal.
Bottle Service
Our friendly and knowledgeable hosts welcome you to relax lakeside overlooking our estate vines while enjoying wines by the bottle at your own pace. Rather than a traditional tasting flight, this experience invites you to settle in, select from our current releases, and share bottles among your guests as you take in the setting.
Your host will be available to guide selections, share the history of Dovecote, and offer insight into our winemaking, farming, and philosophy as you enjoy your time together.
We require a minimum of one bottle per two drinking-age adults. A $50 deposit is collected at the time of booking and applied towards wine purchases ($100 for groups of 9 or more). A two-hour window will be reserved for your group. Wine that is not consumed can be given preservation gas to help last the rest of the day.
We purposefully limit the number of visitors to preserve the privacy of our estate and encourage meaningful conversation and a relaxed atmosphere. At the time of booking, please select seating for all guests who will be joining, even if they are not drinking.
Please note, we unfortunately do not allow pets. Well-behaved children are welcome and must be supervised by an adult at all times. Outside food is welcomed; please bring your own cutlery and plateware.
